IMHO, Those tow hook plate holders look awful! Looks like a zit on the lip! I'd go with the Porsche front plate holder before I did that to my car.
Basically you just pay, you don't even need to put on a plate, they don't care, its revenue collection thats all.

Went with the Velcro turned out decent. CHP didn't even bother to come outside, just signed it off inside. Velcro came off without having to use goo-gone, but had to wash the area 3 times.

I've had no front plate for 7 years here in LA. Got one ticket a long time ago for no front plate in WeHo and just paid it. Now have a euro front plate on the car and thinkin that was pretty dumb as it looks cool, but is just asking for trouble. By the way, stuck the plate on w/2 sided tape...probably will never come off now!

i got pulled over for this about 2 weeks ago. no ticket though. but i also have a few pba cards of high ranking cops who are friends, and i also told the cop i was awaiting a special bracket. i did put my front plate back on tho.
