Any S2000 owners in here?

When I bought my first S2K, I compared it to the Boxster. It would have cost me $63K for a similarly equipped Boxster S back in 2001 (leather sport seats, xenons, aluminum shifter, 240hp, etc.).
I would buy another S2000 in a heartbeat - if I ever move back to CA, I just might.

Back on topic - The S2000 will go down as a classic. It was built in the same plant as the NSX, had a specific chassis, engine, etc. It is such a great car - not to mention the 100% reliability, the $25 oil changes, etc.

Heh found this old thread. Dunno if the OP ended up buying one or not. I'll be in the process of selling my '04 s2k (with 19,300 miles) here for a 911 c2 (as soon as I find one I like).
S2000 is definitely a fun car. Only problem is of course the lack of low end grunt. It's definitely not a good car to take on long drives though. The interior noise level is pretty high. You hear the wind, engine, and the road. At 75mph, you're around 4K rpms in 6th gear.

It's a fun little car, but I could barely fit in it. What is even more crazy is that people are doing Supra Turbo motors swaps in it. Some have claimed that the driving dynamics haven't changed even with the swap. Interesting!

Glad to see this thread revived, as I've been thinking about picking one up recently. Recent developments mean it may now be further away than I thought, sadly.
Scott, have you gotten a chance to drive one yet? I've driven one of each the AP1 and AP2 now. The AP2 was okay, but it just seemed like it was over so fast. 6,8,shift,6,8,shift. The AP1 was a lot more fun, I thought, though admittedly, I did push it a bit harder when I drove. The 9k redline was much more enjoyable, letting me savor it a bit more, and more importantly, I got to play around with the rear end without any sort of electronic nannying kicking in. Supposedly the AP1 is a bit more squirrly. Whatever it was, I liked it! Maybe I just went too easy on the AP2. But that engine! 9k is awesome.
They seem to hold pretty well once they get down to $16-18k. After that, you really have to pile the miles to get them lower... At least, that's what I've garnered from looking around here.
