Great pics, although you would would never catch me doing that with the general public on the road. That gives us a bad name in addition to being down right dangerous. You might just consider yourself lucky this time.

I don't know but that face you made at the start of the 2nd race had to be worth at least 25hp!

HP doesn't mean as much as "area under the curve"

GT2's are underrated from the factory.

When the camera man was in the car the IV walked away from the GTII.
Exactly doesn't make much sense at all. How can one camera man make such a drastic difference. When the cameraman was in the GT2, the stage 4 pulled away like the GT2 wasn't moving. Did you guys have more than two runs?

Was it a 2004 GT2 ? Slightly lighter, and a bit more hp.

the camera man change effectively reduced my weight by 10% in comparison to the stage 4 car. That was all I needed to keep up with him! Its amazing what a little weight will do.

Hey Lou,

We have to try to see if we can reproduce these same results. I am also having a hard time believing that 200 pounds would make that much of a difference.

In the quarter mile, 200 lbs equates to about 0.1 sec., or ~1 car length.

It is a 360lb change. 180lb transfered from one car to the other. There was a video posted(?duane?) of a yellow and a silver turbo with the same results. With the cameraman in the silver car, the yellow pulls away quickly, but when the cameraman switches, the cars are equal!

Consider this....the last couple of GTIs we baselined made about 450RWHP The IV makes 500-515 to the wheels. A 360 lb difference would be huge in a drag race. No doubt about it. I have been to the point I have pulled the CD changer, spare, manuals and more to ensure the car had all it could. Not shocked.
