On my way home from running errands, a couple of teenagers in a Ford F150 kept looking over at me, obviously wondering how they could get me to show them what a 911 Turbo could do. I wasn't interested in wasting gas, so I just ignored them. But, in my rearview mirror I did see a new, bright yellow 2007 Z06 that looked like he was interested in seeing what a 911 Turbo could do. He was weaving in an out of traffic (trying to buzz off a 350Z that was way out of his league) to catch me. Well, wouldn't you know it, we end up at a red light, side by side. I shifted my Tip into manual, dropped down to 1st, and started to brake boost to about 2000 rpm(btw, we were on a long, empty stretch of road-keep it safe!). The light turned green and he got about half of a car jump on me for about 1/2 a second.......it was pretty much over after that. I could hear the roar of that beautiful V8 as I passed him like a freight train (this is how he described what my car sounded like when I passed him). I got about 8-9 car lengths on him when I let up. He gets next to me, has a huge smile on his face, and proceeds to roll down his window. The first words out of his mouth were "Okay, how many horses does that thing have because I KNOW it's not stock." Anyway, we pull over to look at each other's cars (I traded in a 2002 Z06 for my 2003 996TT X50) and talked a bit. He was a nice guy and admitted that he had been looking for a 911 Turbo to add to his list of kills. Well, I guess he needs to keep on hunting! Oh, and those teenagers in the truck....well, not only did they get to see what a 911 Turbo could do, but they got to see what it could do against a new Z06.

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention that I'm modded. I will have a complete Stg IV by next week when my V-Flow comes in. I have the GIAC ECU upgrade, K24 headers, Milltek exhaust, Evom diverters, and the Evom upgraded wastegates (also the Agency silicone hoses in blue). The car is making consistent boost level of 1.2 bar. So, there really wasn't a surprise with the outcome. And I will agree that stock for stock I would have lost........that's why my car is modded,baby! Run what you brung!
