The stock turbo brakes are very effective if you use an upgraded pad
(I liked the Pagid Oranges), but then they squeak terribly (sounds like a POS
on the street at stoplights), and eat rotors at the track. Otherwise I felt the
stock brakes were very good. This was just an ECU tune however.
NOW: my car can build speed like a sport bike...It is insane and I am glad
I went to the new Brembo 6 piston monobloc as a minimum precaution to my
braking needs. The kit you are talking about is most likely a fantastic
brake system BUT it is untested on Porsches. Markski can give us a real world review but again that will be just (1) car on the road with them.
I believe the premier kit is the Brembo GTR and of course the current generation PCCB Ceramics. The downside of these two is you can
buy land in Arkansas for the same price, LOL.
PM me for the Telephone # of the most knowledgable guy in the US for
Brembo brakes and see what his opinion is.

Best,

MK

Rotoros are untested on Porsche but they are an excellent system from everyone I know that has had them on their car...

Same brakes I have. Serious crackhead price. Brembo told me
new DISTRIBUTORS cost is over $3250. I have the 355 mm rotors.

Honestly those things look like toys that belong on an Escalade running 30" wheels.

Caliper flex anyone?

Brembo 8 piston GTR is wicked.

Anything monobloc will work relatively well.

If you want to get past the fluff and bling, look at what the alms cars run, you won't see some silly 12 piston b/s there. Just a ginormous Alcon/AP 6 piston monobloc that looks strong enough to crush the world.

On a bone stock car with the basic kit he should put a little over 600 to the wheels on pump gas.

If he wants to go big I can get him a TT kit for $10k
