they were great to deal with. i spent about $5.5k for mine w/ new tires. i got some SSR type C-RS's from tirerack for track wheels. a painless transaction. good looking wheels are available in many price ranges.....quality forged multi-piece wheels cost $$$. don't let an otherwise good deal on a car fall through for wheels. if necessary, put on nice looking, but less exensive wheels until you can get the wheels that you ultimately desire.

 

I hear HRE has some pre-made sets for the 996TT right now - 20" 540R series and 840R series (limited models) that are 5k for all 4. Pretty stellar deal for new HRE's.

 

Been looking and the Kinesis F110 look to be real sweet. I like the 2007 turbo wheels and hear that many with turbos dont car for them...I wonder if they will fit a 996 turbo. Shouldnt be too hard to get a hold of those.

I think you are right...I will just get the car I want and worry about the wheels I want later. An extra set may be fun for a dual personality anyway

Now I have to look into some specific problems with 996 tt...I think 2 gear popping out and rear main seal seem to be some fun ones. But almost on my way to a 996 tt (fingers crossed). Oh yeah, I am pretty analytical (engineer) as well as a perfectionist so I tend to over analyze overthing.

 

The wheels are chrome. They look awesome on the car. they were on the car when I bought it, but I'm not a chrome guy when it comes to p cars unfortunately. I'll be selling them soon to get some silver painted BBS meshies for more of a racecar look instead of a bling type look.
