Drag Radials
#46
I just spoke w/ the rep at discount tires. He says that the new Nitto NT-01's are replacing the 555RII's and are a better tire. Plus they fit my rims (315-30-18).
I am probably going to get them.

Sean, great, glad you found something that works. Keep in mind if you are getting a soft compound tire for the rear that can be road raced (stiffer sidewall) then make sure you get fronts too...

Paul, hahhaahahahahha, oh well, what can I say? On another note, I hear Jarrett Humphrey's is now running Racing Solutions (RSI) in Houston, from what I gather, he was very involved in the Porsche community when he started/ran Powerhouse Racing. Apparently, he has tonssss of P-car knowledge, both in tuning and in modifying these cars. Just puts another P-car guy in our backyard. You think that's a sign for me saying "Peter, sell Supra, buy 996tt and mod, RSI is only 1 mile from your house!!!!" You guys know him?
bmoores - true true true, will it ever end?

Peter,
Just purchased the Nitto 01's...and yes, only bought the rears...I will buy the Nitto's all the way around when the rears wear out (in about 3K miles or so...assuming I like them).
Bmore...I am flattered that you have a quote from me in your sig...lol...that one was a classic.

For reference, I run a lil' ol' 275 wide Nitto NT555R drag radial and it hooks 850 rwhp from a 65 mph punch. All you have to do is properly warm them up.

Most Supra guys run either a 16 or 17 inch rim, what size are yours? It is very challenging to find a 16 or 17 inch rim for a Porsche.
