Well, when I first bought my car, I thought I had AWD that would be decent in the snow. I got stuck trying to go up a hill and noticed that only the rear wheels spun. I asked about this on the forum, and they said something about how only 5% of the power goes to the fronts, and I did not have enough grip to transfer more power to the front. Something like that.

I saw a video of a 996 Turbo doing donuts on ice/snow and the fronts were most definitely spinning.

Porsche claims 5-40% torque transfer. That's total BS, probably for the better. If 40% of the torque was really going up front, the front tires would spin in the snow for sure.
I can feel the AWD (having taken off the driveshaft for about a year and then re-installing), but this is definitely a RWD car with minimal FW torque.
