Maryland, Virginia, DC guys
Who has the premier tire balancing machine in the area? I am having trouble getting my front tires to balance. It's not bad, it's just not right.

Have yet to use them but my Porsche guy swears by them and promises me that I'll get a good deal also.

Thanks Scott, I'll try them out. Can you remember the name or what is a landmark for English Muffin Way. I've driven past your place a couple times lately, while running errands in the 993, just on the chance that you might be outside. Tomorrow I'm flying to California to buy the car. It will be truck transported here within 2 weeks. Then I'll be the one with a car to sell. Waiting on a painted replacement spoiler piece,a good front tire balance, and a detail job and this puppy will be ready to go. BTW, do you have a good local detailer that you trust?

The names of the other places are good for me to look in the future.

Call Paul at Radial tire. Tell him you own a Porsche and you need an on-the-car balance. Trust me; he will get your car perfect. This is the only way to get a true high speed balance (over 100 mph). There is no-off-the car machine that can spin your tire that fast. He also has some other machines that are very, very, sensitive.
Have him do the on-the-car, then take them off and check them on the machine for any variance. They will re-bead the tire if they have to, just to prevent the use of unnecessary weights. The place is a dump, not much to look at, but they know what they are doing, and you can sit there in the garage and watch them do it. They charged me 80 bucks for all 4 tires. They even new the proper torque for the bolts. They got it straight when all others failed after I put on a set of new PS2's.
