Picked up an 01 last week with option 680 which is the Bose Surround Sound System. $575 option. Its basically a digital sound processor. My head unit looks the same as the normal head unit. I'm not sure if it is the same, however.

Does anyone know if I can remove the Bose attachment and replace it with the standard cubby hole? Is it worth anything as an add on for someone else? Will it simply plug into the standard head unit?

I tried attaching a picture but keep getting a message that there is a problem with the database.
