Wow, I gotta say......a new M6 pulled in behind me today and suddenly I found myself traveling at 150.....with him right on my tail! Hmmmm, so I looked up the stats and discovered that they have 500 HP stock. Plenty of power it seems. A bit dissappointing, even tho I own a 5 series and it is my third BMW! Got HP?

 

I thought they were quicker on the top end than us...guess its not by a big margin or not at all...cool!

 

Isint it speed limited to 140-150 mph?

A M6 will own a stock turbo from 60 on up.

With an X-50 you should be about even on the top end which it seems you were, he may still start to pull at about 120 or so. M6's are highway beasts.

 

flash + exhaust = lights out for m6

 

I agree.
Flash and a set of Europipes will put that overweight M6 in your rearview.
The car has nice lines.

 

That's it, I'm getting an exhaust! Putting my diverters and F-hose on today. I love Beemers, but not when they are riding my rear!

 

Don't forget upgraded wastegate actuators on an X50 car with a flash.

 

The M6 is no joke. It's right there with a stock 997TT from a roll.

I drove a 02 E39 M5 for two years before moving into my first P-car.
BMW M's are close cousins to our Bavarian heritage.

 

Both cars were designed with the autobahn in mind but on the other hand, we still own the corners...and the track.

My M5 is an absolute highway missle... And she can hunker down pretty damn well at the track too Of course that is only for the One Lap.
