Smile waste gate question

Just bought the Evo wastegates and put them on two K24's sitting on my workbench.

Question for the experts:

Are the wastegates supposed to be vacuum adjusted after the turbos are installed on the car or can they be adjusted on the work bench prior to turbo installation?

Thanks Gents

Sameer

I will definitely install now that you have it on the workbench, just get a pressure tester ....11.5 psi start moving (opening) ...so on and so forth...

I've read that the GIAC flash and waste gates are compatible, but if you try to use the EVO waste gates with a different program (i.e. REVO, Upsolute, UMW), you may encounter overboost problems.

this is the vacuum tester I am planning on using

http://www.automotion.com/productpag...acuum%20Tester

$44 from automotion.com

But back to the question, new wastegates are on the turbo's- but do I do the vacuum adjustment before or after I put the turbo's back on the car?

its not vaccum presure you want its boost presure i found out the hard way becuase the wastgates work when presure is pushed in if you use a vaccum tester it wont do any thing and it might ruin the inside of your waste gate

I agree, the one I listed forces the air into the wastgate, I believe that one smistry007 listed actually draws air in.

Clock wise (looking from the back to front) will shortens the travel and will open late --> getting more boost.

I hope it helps
