What do you tell your wife when you mod?
Kind of curious how you guys are able to mod your rides and still get away from it with your wives! I told my wife once I get my TT I will keep it stock and not mod it ever. But after viewing all your post, I need to mod it. So far I have done very little to it, but need to mod!
Question is:
What do you tell your wife/girlfriend, when you need to mod it?

No I agree, you should just tell her upfront, instead of ****** and coke in Vegas you just want this little stage 3 kit for your car.
If that doesn't work, get her some finger mods.

Separate checking and credit card accounts help.
I don't tell my wife. Most of the mods on the car she doesn't see, so she doesn't know (i.e. headers, hoses, dv, computer tune, hoses, etc.) The only mod she noticed was the Milltek exhaust because the car sounded louder. The first time she got in the car after the exhaust change she just turned and looked at me and asked me what I did to the car and how much did it cost. That is the only time she has asked me about changes to the car.
On the up side, she likes the fact that my hobby (translation "obsession") keeps me at home in the garage.
