I was told by a wheel vendor that 20's would ruin the front differential. Is this correct?

Just curious...what does handles 10X better mean? This is a ridiculous statement! Hope you don't lose your front diff.

The front diff will not be affected as long as the overall diameter including the tires are within 4% difference front to back. You could run 20"s in the front and 17"s in the back as long as the tires kept the revs per mile the same front to back. I'm not advocating 17"s or 20"s but I would be looking for a new mechanic for my TT if he told me either would ruin my front diff.

I know I probablly shouldn't say anything since I don't even own a Porsche, but, what do you mean about handling "10x better than stock 18's"?

I'm sure your car looks great, but I don't see any benefit in the handling department, especially on an AWD car, by going with two different diameters on the front on back

by handling i mean the car grips way better than my stock 18's... ive never ran 19's all around so i wouldnt be able to compare...... i can corner alot faster with no problems... when with my other wheel/tire combo i could feel it braking loose much sonner/slower speed. so i might have gone too far by saying its 10x better.... however it is better in my opinion....
oh and buddy-g... you know what you can do circles around.. hehe.. anytime buuuuuuuuddy

Well seeing as you are in Cali and I am in Michigan we will likely never have a chance to run. But I am sure there are plenty of tt's in your area that would love to show you how clueluess you really are and run their stock 18's vs your combo. We are talking strictly handling not how fast the cars go in a straight line.
