Some on this board claim resonance issues at various revs on the Fabspeed and others (tho others say none).

I spoke with the Fabspeed folks and they said if there is an issue that they would take it back and "tune it" if there are any issues.
Be prepared for resonance, LOTS of it, after installing the Fabspeed exhaust (both quiet/loud). I have never come across a single Fabspeed 996tt owner who claims his/her exhaust produces zero resonance. I have come across many that do not know the definition of resonance.

Fabspeed makes power, it also produces headaches and vibrates windows!

yes, I agree with Arling (20C4S). We do a lot of runs together and Europipe sounds just as agressive as Techart, just different sounds.

Good thing I have a Convertible TT that I only drive with the top down. I presume the Fabspeed may not be as "obnoxious" under those conditions

Exhaust

I have a few Cargraphics laying around if anyone needs. I am pretty sure that I have a Techart as well.

Another vote for Techart. Awesome sound and very little resonance.

I shopped for exhausts for a long time and have heard many. I had the Europipe Stage 2 Loud and sold it within two weeks. Below are my impressions of various suggested exhausts:

Europipe Stage 2 Loud
Heavy, much too quiet outside, lots of resonance inside, at least that was my experience. Others on this board have not had similar experiences

Fabspeed "quiet"
Lots of resonance, that rattles my brain. Sounds like a tractor outside and the resonance is horrible inside

Techart
I like the sound clips I heard, nice sounding exhaust

Cargraphic Super Sound Export Version
Obviously, this is my favorite since I had it on my 2003. Loud mean sound outside the car, very little resonance. My friend who I sold the EP Stage 2 loud to drove in my car and said he couldn't believe how much less resonance I had than he had. Below are clips that I have posted previously. Be sure to right click, "save copy as", and save to your desktop. Play the video from there or they will appear choppy and won't sound right:

BtW, anyone want to buy my exhaust let me know. I sold my 2003 Turbo and am having an exhaust specially fabricated when my new one comes in. Retail $4800, I paid $4200 new, make an offer, exhaust was on my car for 4500-5000 miles. PM me if interested

I'm sure that the choice of an exhaust system is a very individual one. However, I recently had a number of modifications done to my X50 turbo including the installation of a Fabspeed SuperSport (Loud) exhaust. Yes, it is loud and it has resoance at approximately 2500-2900 rpm. But it also has a wonderful and very powerful sound when you are really accelerating hard. The car really comes alive; the sound is full. After I finished the project, which I might add was done by Sol Snyderman at Perfect Power in Chicago, I drove the car 9 hours to my home. The car was great at cruise, 3,000 to 3,500 rpm; not objectionable at all. I loved it. Still do. I think Fabspeed builds a very good product. I would suggest you try it. The SuperSport may not be for everyone but if you like to hear and feel your turbo, I personally think it is a good choice. As Stephen at Imagine graphically pointed out in his comparison test several months ago, it certainly makes the power.

Problem with the Techart, Europipe, etc... is that they are way overpriced for what they are!! Fabspeed is great value and gains most power if that is the top goal...

FVD with hollow Cats. Only loud when you pull the trigger hard. Very Happy.
