I really don't want to spend alot because I only do 1 or 2 track events a year but I want an extra set to mount the slicks on. That way I can swap the stock tires back on if it rains, etc...

I recently bought a set of Hollow twists with Michelin Pilot Sport Cups with about 70-80% tread left on them. The wheels were in exellent condition too. I paid $1400.... I think that was pretty cheap...

l hear you guys I just don't want to pay $800 per wheel for track wheels I won't use much. I guess the other option is to use my hollow spokes as track wheels and get some new street wheels?

Hollows are great, but keep your eyes peeled - I found a set of BBS LMs w/tires on eBay recently for $2650 shipped (I had solid spokes that apparently were bent by the PO, figured I might as well just go for it at that price). I think Tirerack said they are 22 lbs front, 24 lbs rear, but do not quote me on that.

honestly, i would just check around private porsche repair places...there are almost always wheels in stock from some traded in cars and what not...

Volk TE37. 18 lbs ea front, 20.5 lbs ea rear. Check tirerack, Vivid racing, and other forum sponsers. Less than $2800 for a set.
But as said above, stock hollow spokes can't be beat for price/performance.
