Is a LoJack necessary for a Porsche 996 TT??
Kind of too late for me, but I was curious if a LoJack is necessary for a Turbo? I know they (Porsche) comes equipped with a kill switch when tampered with and probably very hard to steal. Anyway I did get one installed at dealers cost for the Early Warning LoJack System at a very good price for 800$ which is very good, my nissan dealership charged me 1600$ for my 350Z!
My insurance would not give me a discount, they actually increased my payment, because they consider it to be a upgrade (jerks!).
Has for peace of mind I think thats the only thing it is giving me. Which might be good.
But I am talking mechanically/electronically, not Mentally.

They can still drag the car into a closed trailer and spirit it out to a remote area and then strip it. At least the Lo-Jack can transmit a signal as to where it is... Even if they disconnect the battery, the LJ has a separate one to receive the turn-on signal and to transmit the location to a police car.

I have mobile guardian on ne of my cars (not the TT)...works more places, can check car location and remotely disable the car on-line. One time fee as well ($695 installed):
