best way is to get a contact pyrometer and just check the temps across the tread. Add/bleed air as needed to get even temps across. Be prepared for some serious understeer BTW. Hoosiers > Ps2 is an unhappy transition

Woodster,
I think the 34f and 36r cold is about right. Check temps after hot and bleed fronts to 38 hot and rears to 40 hot and you should be fine. Remember, smooth is fast and easier on the tires. You have PLENTY of power to make up any differenc on the straights. Don't over drive the tires or they will get greasy in the high heat. Enjoy!

I've measured my (non cup) PS2s at the track using a pyro-meter as suggested here; I found 34psi hot front and 38psi hot rear gave the most even temps across the tyre surface and the best grip (as good as you can get on streets anyway....).

The other thing to keep in mind is your highest grip levels will probably be on the first 3-4 laps - after that the street tyres heat up too much and become very very skaty.

Cheers,

Beej

Marty,

That is going to suck! I hate street tires on the track you slide all over the place!

Good luck!

I used to run 38 front and 40 rear Hot. I started w/ 34f 36r cold but would have to bleed them down after the first session on the track
