What would you do to protect a car during long trips?

 

Yeh, it works fine. If you overlap correctly it usually doesn't fly off.

 

I used it both to and from my trip to charlotte to pittsburgh which is about 425 miles. Used the 3m brand that was really wide..i think around 4 inches. Covered my aero kit lip and a few inches up the bumper. Worked awesome, just make sure you wash the car before your trip and make sure the paint is cool and dry. Came off super easy and didnt leave and residue behind eventhough temps were in the 90's.

 

Painters tape and Crash Wrap work well.

Crash Wrap is that clear material some body shops use to cover windows that have been broken out due to accidents. I wrapped the front of my car once with this combo and made a three hour run with no problems. I blue taped the edges to help hold it down. If you just waxed/polished your car it tends to peel a little quicker.
