Texas Mile!

Keep my name out of your mouth. We're still waiting for your proof of how your car performs, if you have none, then STFU and EAD!

Whats the Heffner Viper running? Is it faster then the Racing Solutions car? I don't know if that 10.5 is gonna do down in the TX haha...

I saw videos of your Chevelle on Rennlist, it is a serious piece of tire burning machinery!
You stated above that it will go 200 mph in standing mile, correct?
Have you proof of this or is it based on some calculations? The wind is pretty unkind
to the shape of a Chevelle at 190 mph +.

Are you calling my car a barn door?!!! It is only a shed door!
I will maybe find out some day. Some quick testing to 170 mph shows the car to be 100% rock stable. The car will do it, if it only goes 190 or something I can just up the boost a touch more. I love turbos!!
I have done alot to the car since the vids including lower it quite a bit and change the wheels/tires.
I may have a make up a front air dam before I try for 200. They keep excess air from under the car to keep the rear from wanting to wander. I know of another Chevelle that went 200 with just an air dam way back in 1980!!
I wish I was able to try this year.

Your car has loads of power and it is a work of art from the video I saw.
My only point is that going 200, and going 200 in the standing mile is (2) different
animals completely. I am sure you saw the recent Road and Track article and test on
it. Lots of Power TO THE GROUND (not spinning) and good aero dynamics.
Very cool Chevelle, do not take my skepticism the wrong way!

I am not, I'd be skeptical too!
Will it go 200 in 1 mile on pump?? I don't know, May only hit 19x something. I need to figure a calculation that uses HP/TQ, COD, and vehicle weight to calculate the attainable speed in 1 mile. I am guessing based on other cars (Ford Granada(Yes) and a 97 zz8 with similar hp/tq at the same weight.
1000+ hp at the flywheel will make a car do all sorts of weird things.

I am hoping to attend. A buddy and I are planning on flying down there. Anyone know if the Goliad airport will be open at all during the day of the Texas Mile to aircraft? I see that there are two runways.
