Texas Mile!

I was at Tommy Bahn's shop yesterday and a couple of Tx mile vets where there... they were very interested (to put it politely) in seeing an 830 rwhp vehicle get to 210 when their 1K plus hp vehicles where struggling to reach 200.
Apparently ricer math has now afflicted German auto's.

Tommy's for one...Kareem isn't sure if he could make it....I believe ( I think he said he is going...you will have to ask him yourself) he is going to try this year.
People say "well, he had traction problems" (at 1.3K rwhp) "well, the wind was a factor"...duh...There are hundreds of variables. That is why I insist that the real world is very different from theoretical calculations done in a vacum.
Getting over 200 is a very, very difficult proposition.

Sean, you need to make sure you have all the facts:
Fact 1: Kareem has never run the TX Mile so he couldn't possibly be one of the ppl you mentioned has struggled to get to 200 mph in the TX Mile.
Fact 2: Per the reference in an earlier post I made, please youtube the video of Tommy's run. You can clearly here that he does not even step into the gas until past the 1/2 mile mark (in 5th gear).
Fact 3: Tommy had no where near 1,300 rwhp, not even close.
Fact 4: I do not know of ONE SINGLE high HP Supra that has run all out in the TX Mile. I would run but do not want to cut my car up to put a cage in...
What I think would be fun would be to see how much rwhp your car makes and then turn my boost down to run your car at the boost level that makes the same peak rwhp. I would be curious to see what 400 lbs. and more TQ would do to the outcome of a race b/w our cars.

YES!!!!!!!!!! You do, I challenge each and every car on this board to run the 60-130 event against me this Saturday at Lonestar Motorsports Park. I will give it to Sean, he truly does love motorsports and is joining us prior the event to caravan out and run together...

I will be there Sat, that is for sure!
Back to the original topic and Scotts car, I think his car would make an awesome run...I think there is a good shot that it would get to 200, but not 210.....it would have the TT record nontheless.
Now my car, my goal, realistically would be 190. Nick Diep hit 186 last year (and I know the wind was a factor) and my car, w/ my new fuel system, intake, cat delete and race tune would be close to his.
I am interested in seeing how Kareem does if he runs his Poopra. He is taking his brothers (about 480whp) to Lone Star this Sat.

Can't make it to the upcoming 60-130 trials...my daughter's 3rd birthday party is on Saturday. She does love cars, especially Porsches. I can't resist posting pics...anyway, the TX mile is still up in the air.
Note...this pics were taken at Supra TX2K7, the day after we ran 60-130 trials!
