Joe, from H town ran his stage IV 996 GT2 at the Texas mile, I think he did around 180 but the record holder belongs to another Texan (at the Texas mile). Tommy ran 201 in his six speed Supra last year; however, that will be challenged this year. I think there will be many cars breaking the 200 mark and some will be trying for 220 and I hear there might be a 230 contendor.

I did 176 mph...evo stg 4 w/ the stock airbox and stock headers put back and headwind. I'm pretty sure 200mph can be reached by a p-car but there are 3 factors that need to be overcome....
1. gt800+ pcar
2. actually have TIME to drive down to beeville
3. pair of titanium *****...

My evo 8 tuner owns the record for a street class and he is going back for OCT. 6th and 7th. he did something like 213 or 217 I forget....
I know there are a few different classes but he did win the street class of some sort about a half a year ago.

EDIT: he did 215.59 and has the record for his class. 2 liter motor LOL
He just came back from Navada and won that whole competition and ran 212 mph .

i would think 200 mph should be possible considering the 1/4 mile trap speeds. however going from 200 mph to 220 mph is a lot more difficult than going from 150 mph to 200 mph due to drag coefficient of air.

232mph in the standing mile
Oh yeah, and this was a really old Evo 2, not an Evo 9 or Evo 10.
As if that wasn't fast enough, at the same event, John R. did 232.65mph on a Turbo Hayabusa. I know, it's a bike, but really, 232mph on a bike takes some serious ***** man.
