Not sure what the cause was. Id rather not speculate until my insurance co settles up.

Bone stock.. no mods except H&R springs.

It was too far gone for a fire extinguisher (we tried) Once the grass caught fire it was over. It ran up to the front of the car FAST. Then just engulfed in flames. The Fire department took 15 minutes to get there, So all the trees and grass caught fire to about 100 feet back from the road.

Im still in shock.

Wow, sorry to hear it but glad all are OK!

Did the firemen think the engine was in the front? It looks like the front hood was pried/ripped open.

The flames were in front after they got the back out. They couldnt get it out i guess without prying it.

That is so unfortunate. I'm glad everyone is ok. I am trying to think of comforting words and only "good excuse to upgrade" comes to mind. Hope you move on quickly.

damn glad ur ok , now with that recall and ur car beeing a 2003 what will happen ? is porsche responsible ?since it was a manufacturers defect?
