Are we still looking like March or possible sooner?

 

I am told possibly sooner, but nothing concrete at this point. I'll know better, as to how it looks in a couple of weeks...

 

I received a message today from Eric Brockway that mentioned he committed some of his last run to VIVID and that Dan will have some of these R1000's to sell once the production is complete, so if anyone didn't make it in to this buy and would still like an R1000 to contact Dan at Vivid. I was allocated 9 units and they are all sold, so I'm out at this point.

 

So do you get them first or the same time as Vivid?

 

Brockway is doing one run. These are all being made at the same time. The timing will be the same or extremely similar.

Brockway just sent me a test unit to verify all functions are working properly with the new circuit boards, specifically on the Porsche 996. I completed the testing today and will now return it to Brockway for data analysis. Once Brockway downloads the data on his end and verifys everything is correct, the gauges will go into production. It looks like a couple more weeks.

 

There are going to be a few upgrades to the new R1000 gauges that are in this group buy. The main revisions are:

1) The AFR screens are going to read out the number as before, but also have a progressive bar that shows the relative AFR.

2) A 60-130MPH feature has been added. It will not be GPS based or account for slope. It will run from the vehicle data, but nonetheless will be included.

3) Orange LED intensity is adjustable.

 

Sounds cool. Can't wait for the new version.
