Labor rates at Porsche dealer?
Curious what folks have paid as labor rates at porsche dealers to get work done? I'm being quoted $143/hr which is apparently the average dealer rate on Long Island. Is it me or is this just really expensive? A coilover relplacement (KWv3) is being estimated at 6-7 hrs x $143. Anyone have a time estimate average for coilovers on a Turbo (4wd which is apparently a little more involved)? Thanks for advice.

Be nice just trying to get some context. Writing here b/c I've found this forum to be a wealth of knowledge and full of very experienced folks, to which I would not count myself part of. This is my first Porsche, which I'm very excited about, getting it tomorrow. [if you're asking why the vendor classified section, yes, agree with you there, that was accidental, thought I was in the 996 Turbo/GT2 Parent directory when making the post - moderator, please feel free to send the thread over or kill it]
Thanks to the first poster, I did get an estimate from an independent qualified to do the work, but between scheduling and distance (real logistics issues involved), the fastest/easiest/path of least resistance would be with the dealer.
