Thanks. At the original price of the discount amounted to around $50.
Currently, we are able to offer this at a MUCH lower price, PLUS an extra 5% off.
Thank you. Even before all this great feedback, we felt strongly about this product and glad to hear that others agree.

Thoughts on Numeric Racing's machined shifter
Had RAC Performance in Dallas install the numeric shifter yesterday, and I'm blown away. I had the standard 996 shifter in my car, and this is infinitely better. All of the slop is gone, and the shifting is very precise. Each gear feels like it's in the right spot, and there's no notchiness to it. It changed the whole way the car felt. The original shifter was a disappointment; the numeric is the way it "should" feel. It's absolutely a blast.
There are three settings on Numeric's shifter, and I opted for the middle setting (based on Dan's recommendation and the general consensus at RAC). The middle setting is much shorter then stock, and I'm very pleased. I can't speak to the other positions since I haven't tried it, but the middle setting is perfect for my driving style.
This shifter is on sale through Dan (down $300 from original price), though it's still expensive. I can't compare it to the 997 short shifter (which is also very popular), but I'm very happy that I opted for this upgrade. I've only had the car since 10/19, and the shifter was my main area of concern. This upgrade really is impressive - thanks Dan.

tried to order the shifter today and cant get the coupon to work. any chance the 5% off is still good?
also if im upgrading to this quality shifter are the oem cables worthy? i have heard of using cup cables but dont know anything about them. what should used to compliment this shifter? (btw im more drag racer than road racer if it makes any difference)

Good luck. I hope you like it as much as I do mine. There really aren't very many reviews, so you kind of have ot take a chance. That being said, Dan had said he'd refund anyone who wasn't happy. I'm not sure he's going to have many takers.
Let everyone know what you think. I'll be curious to read your review.

personally all i had to do was look at the quality of the numeric as compared to ANY other shifter and my mind was made up. add the adjustability and the great price and its ordered!!
chris or any one else is there a better set of cables to order to compliment the shifter? or are the oem cables as good as any out there?
