Interesting - I just had mine put on and have a vibration. I thought it was a wheel out of balance. Let's see what happens after I have new tires put on next week.

I'm almost 100% certain that it is the lack of proper centering of your rotors. Please make sure that while doing your wheel balancing, that it is not on-car high speed balancing, as that would not address the problem correctly if it were a rotor problem - it would cover the circumvent the problem, but not solve it properly.

Thanks for the heads up. I did have the wheels balanced on a hunter (?) digital system. The wheels and tires were fine. The speed shop that did the upgrades read your post and want to check out your "fix" with their machinist. I'll let you know the outcome.

Thanks Sharkey - your fix worked on the rotors. Apparently one of the holes on all four rotors were significantly "off". Speedwerks had the centering rings made and the rotors went right into alignment. Vibration is gone and brakes work extremely well. I haven't experienced the pedal drop that your describe.

Glad to know that it worked out for you. Perhaps the lack of provision for centering the rotors was why the kits were sold so affordably. I wonder how the other customers who also bought the kit from Rotora managed though.

I'll bleed the brakes again and report back on the spongy pedal.

I was considering these, but passed in lieu of putting GT3 brakes on my car. I track the car so I preferred to go with something proven on a 996. There were priced very reasonably so it was a tough call. In the end, for me anyway, I went OEM.

Regarding the spongy pedal, I'm not sure what the deal is there... I ran the GT3 brakes with the stock MC for a while with no problems. Granted, the pedal is even firmer with the GT3 MC, but I didn't experience a lack of confidence with the stock 996 MC in conjunction with the much larger GT3 6 and 4 piston calipers. I would be surprised if these were larger than the 996 GT3 brakes.

Indeed, it is unlikely that they'd have larger pot area overall than the GT3 setup. So there's hope for me yet.

I'll only get to work on the car this weekend, so I'll post my findings after. Wish me luck.

I'm guessing a re bleed will set you straight. From what I understand, the only diff between running the OEM and GT3 MC when using GT3 calipers is the brake bias. I haven't taken it back to the track since installing the GT3 MC. However, the pedal does feel slightly firmer, but not significantly so.
