Recommended Brake Fluid
Hello again,
I told you guys I'd have alot of questions. Now I'm wondering about what kind of brake fluid is recommended for my car. I just bought new pads and stainless steel lines for the car, so I'm going to have to bleed the lines when the parts get in. I've never really experimented with brake fluids, so I'm unclear as per whether or not there are "performance" brake fluids or not. This is why I direct my question to you whom are more educated on the subject.
as always, thanks in advance for any help.

Street car-
ATE Super Gold or Super Blue - Same stuff different color.
Track cars
Castrol SRF about 95.00 per liter
ELF Super Racing - F1 level stuff $150.00 per liter
The Castrol and ELf are the BEST ...
Its not cheap but if you are tracking your car its a bargain!! Consider what brake fade might cost!!
I run SRF in my GT2 on the street we also run this in our Speed GT cars.
I just started using the ELF in one of my club cars and its awesome but it is hard to get and not as accesable as the castrol.

ATE Superblue Brake fluid is more than enough for DD, a few autox, and few track events.
Also, would suggest some SS lines, and more track oriented brake pads - but realise, more aggressive pads are much louder.

Which of these front OEM pads are best for street DD and rare weekend track use?
996-352-949-03-M73 (Pagid)
996-352-949-03-M168 (Mintex)
996-352-949-03-M3 (Textar)
Is it important that the front and rear pads are of the same compound/brand?Thanks!

Anybody try the Brembo LCF 600?
I quote:
"BremboŽ LCF 600+ (DOT 4) brake fluid has an exceptionally high dry boiling point of 601F and a wet boiling point of 399F. Brembo LCF 600+ also offers up to a 10% reduction in compressibility at 350F compared to other competitors' fluids.
Brembo LCF 600+ exceeds all DOT 4 requirements and is suitable for use in all DOT3, DOT4, and DOT 5.1 brake system applications. Brembo LCF 600+ should not be used in brake systems containing magnesium parts. LCF 600+ is an ideal choice for racing or performance use - combining ultra-high dry boiling point, low compressibility, and consistent pedal feel."
That would, specification wise, be better than ATE, Castrol or Motul.
I bought it, it's in the car but I won't be to Sebring until the end of the month. Anybody know what I'm in for? If it's as good as the specs, it ought to be terrific. Oh, and it's $109 for SIX bottles ($18 and change). Here's to hoping it's as great as it sounds and I won't be reporting back about how well the HANS worked.
