Supercharger surprises another victim :)

While cruising through Mexico today, came across what appeared to be a brand new Saleen S281. Not sure if it was the "extreme" edition, but I don't think so. As luck would have it, we stumbled on to a nice stretch of clear highway near Tijuana.
I don't know if his was modded or not; but it was loud as hell and his blower was screaming. From second gear until 4th, it was very very close, with a back and forth thing going on as we shifted. From a roll, the gearing seems to be better in the pcar. However, as my car got a chance to stretch it's legs a bit in 4th and sustain maximum boost for more than a few seconds, I finally started to consistently pull away and we both let off. Good times
This EVO kit never ceases to amaze me. Considering the huge advantage the Saleen had (displacement, torque, twin screw blower, and whatever else he had done to it), I still managed to eek out a "W" when given enough room. I even smacked down a Lightning last week that was supposedly making well over 400 to the wheels. It's weird how the car doesn't feel fast because the boost is so transparent, but it clearly is. Now I need to find a stock 7T so I can add that to my kill list.
And don't forget that I have a porky pig convertible with 19" wheels, subwoofers, and a trunk full of audio equipment. This kit would be nuts in a bone stock 7S coupe with some light weight 18's.

Great stories. Wish I had the ***** to punch it when approached by fellow rides. I guess it's the age thing. Maybe in my 20's I would have punched it, but heck in my 20's I could only afford a Toyota Camry, darn it!!
