M&K 996 Exhaust

I posted a quick video clip a while ago with the exhaust system I am beta testing for a good friend of mine.

The supplier finally go around to putting the video clip together.

Here it is:

I am now selling this beta system as it is too loud for me.

I don't know exactly what the production kits will include, but this prototype system includes the mufflers and two set of tips, one set is about 3" and one set is 4.5" ovals.

The production kits will be around $1300 fully polished, this used kit I am selling for $800 shipped.

I like that sound. Much better than my Fabspeed. Actually, I hate my Fabspeed after I had it installed. No louder than the stock.

Is it possible to see pics of the exhaust & tips? Can it be use with stock tips? I am very interested.

Sounds real aggressive.

Seems a little on the loud side. Any idea how this would sound in conjunction with headers and high flow cats?

I'll take some picutres of the prototype tips a little later today. The production tips are going to be full polished, these are not...but because they are 321 stainless, I could polish them very quickly.

This prototype system is still available, check my FS post in the FS section. Production kits will be available in about a week from the manufacturer and their retailer, neither of which are sponsors here so I won't direct link...but if you watch the video again the retailer is mentioned.

Here are some pictures of the exhaust system as installed. This prototype system only accepts the tips that come with it, but I believe the production systems will have the flared outlet that will accept the stock or aftermarket tips as well as systems that will accept the M&K tips only.

The tips are currently back at the manufacture getting the final produciton modifications to them as well as their full polish.

These systems are all full 321 stainless steel.

Look like twin can on each side. Similar to my E60 545i.

Question

I was all set to order Fabspped till I hear this. Can some one please compare those two. Is fabspeed to quite I do not want very loud but I would like to tell the difference from stock exhaust and enjoy the sound of aftermarket exhaust. Any suggestions would be appreciated any other good choices.

.

I'm not able to tell the difference between my Fabspeed exhaust and the stock system as well, much too quiet for me.

If this system sounds anything in person like it does on the sound clip, I would buy it in a heartbeat!
