Don't do single malt Scotch, B&M SSK and Evo shift linkage,997 Turbo wheels, red calipers, bumpers pugs already I think I should go and sleep.
Somebody post installation instruction pictures for this newbie.

I have the new style OEM porsche shifter with the 997 part number (It's not a rebranded B&M) and it really transforms the car. But in my opinion you also need to get the upgraded "exclusive" shift **** from porsche or somthing similar. The "thin" handle of the stock shift **** just really doesn't give you comfortable leverage when shifting. With the more squat and thicker shift **** it does the trick and everything is really awesome together.
And best part... you can always swap back with OEM when you sell the car and sell the OEM SS and **** on the side to get your money back.

I installed the B&M SSK but I held off on the installing shift linkage (schnell and it is just sitting in the garage right now). For some reason, it seems like the stock plastic part keeps the shifting very smooth. I know the little plastic part looks terrible and that it could break, but I think the shifting as is is very smooth and like the way it is. Anyone know of a case where the stock linkage has broken (track/ax/street)?

Many find the shift linkage to be less than a benefit. They are not easy to install, the set screws that hold it to the threads must be really tight, the set screws than typically damage the threads not allowing you to go back to the stock linkage without replacing the entire shift cable. Once installed others have mentioned that because it is a big hunk of metal instead of a light piece of plastic, it makes the shifting heavier and clunky to move. I have only heard of one rumored owner that had their stock one break and leave them stranded (you are unable to get in and out of gear). The replacement stock piece is less than $20 if you need to replace it.
