Carrera Classic Wheels

Does anyone here have any pictures of the Carrera Classics on their 996 with 265/35/18 tires? My Dad installed his and I noticed that there is a small gap between the edge of the wheel and the tire. I don't think this is normal.

Bump.

Come on I can really use some pics. I don't think the tires were mounted + balanced correctly.

Please post high quality pics of your Carrera Classic wheels, any angle.

Unless I am mistaken, Carrera Classics are a 987/997 19" only wheel, so at an 18" tire, you are probably referring to a different wheel. But you can check out wheelenhancement for pics of most OEM late model wheels on a variety of models. If you point out which wheel you're referring to in specific, perhaps it would be easier for people to find/post pics for you.

They are replicas from Wheel Dynamics.

The "gap" between the wheel and the sidewall varies from tire to tire.

Hmm perhaps that is it. I will post pics when I get a chance just to make sure.

What Euclid said is true. Different brands, different gaps. End result, no problem.

I believe that he is talking about the Sport Classic II. There is also a replica of the Carrera Classic available in 18".

265 are too narrow that's why there is a slight gap, I have 285 street tires and 295 Sport Cups on two sets of those wheels that fit perfect.
