I don't know any females that watch Top Gear (at least in the U.S.). If this is a chick, sounds like a keeper.

Either the guy had a printer in his car or is very local. I wouldn't want people putting stuff on my car regardless what it was.

The person that did it must be illiterate...Can't spell Boxster and can't read the badging on the back of the car.

I'll go out on a limb and venture to guess that the person is jealous. Must be the ex-boyfriend of the girl you are screwing right now.

Could be meant as a slam though...

One could also interpret it as an insult to 996 owners...

As in:

He/She was referring to your car as a Boxster since you can't tell the difference from the front...

A 996 is not a "real" 911

Just a different perspective from a fellow 996 owner.

Dude - a 996 is a 911. Just because Porsche had an internal code for the car doesn't mean it's not a 911. There was another thread about what you call your car, a 911 or a 996, and everyone seems to think that they are far superior if they refer to it as a 996 instead of a 911. I can tell you this - I didn't grow up dreaming about internal codes, I was dreaming about a 911. Now I have one. I couldn't care less about generation designations.

There are dozens of offices with views of where the car was parked on that day, I assume someone saw it from their office window. That's the only logical explanation. I can't see someone spotting the car, running into an office to print and running back out all just to post a note.

I'm fairly certain this person had good intent, not poor. This is downtown Austin, a town with a generally positive outlook.
If I was parked in a bad part of town, maybe, but there's plenty of money around here.
