Help Please, My wheels are rubbing.
#32
Am I totaly screwed? Just purchased a set of HREs from a fellow 6speeder and they are from his 04 narrowbody, I put them on my 02, they are 19's and today I noticed when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or all the way to the right the tires are rubbing I think on the plastic surface of the wheel well. I am so depressed, can't go back to the guys that put on the wheels for me until Monday, so I am wondering how could that be possible? Is my car different than 04? Is it tire size? Wheel width or what. Any answers or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone for your help. Thank god I didn't listen to you guys and take a flamethrower to my car. Finally HRE stepped in to help. The problem was the oversized tires the last owner had on the wheels. The fronts were 245/35/19 they said they are suppose to have 235-35-19. Have a pair on its way and will install on Friday. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ben FTW!
It's why I never recommend 245 for the front. They don't buy you anything but trouble...235's will fix you up.

You really need to fix the "dune buggy" ride height IMHO. Big aftermarket wheels seem to magnify the high ride height for some reason.
It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like the rear wheels extend beyond the fender. If so you may not be able to lower the car with those wheels.
