I have the Kenwood DNX7100...I highly recommend it. Has a ton of features, uses the Garmin Nav engine and is a "one box" solution. No pictures, but I think a lot of guys have this unit and really like it.

I stuck with the single din JVC KD NX 5000
it has all the features, bluetooth, gps nav, hard drive, dvd/divx/mpg player, ipod control
although the screen is small, i didn't have to do any mods to the dash to install this.

Is there nothing new on the horizon? GM is putting the Microsoft computer system in basic cars. It doesn't do everything but it makes me think that Kenwood and Pioneer must be upgrading what they have?

^ i had a home made car pc with a fold out single din touchscreen in my 996. lots of great stuff you can make at home for cheap.

steve,
if that's something you're interested in putting in your car...PM me and we can talk about it. I used some pretty high quality parts and will let it go for cheap (cheap enuff for you to experiment with).

Actually the Microsoft system is exclusive to Ford systems for now, not GM. Maybe in a couple of years...

I've got the Pioneer Z1 in my car - fitted it myself in a couple of hours without a problem. I've not seen the Eclipse in action to compare, but I'm very happy with the Z1.

Has anyone actually seen both in action?

100 % Kenwood, I always and I mean always used Pioneer, while its a great product I always found it cumbersome to use. In this car I went with the Kenwood for the very first time, Its effin great! It has A blue tooth phone kit and it works very very well, Nav very easy to use, Full Ipod controls including video all controlled by the touch screen. Its a very good unit and cant say enough about how well this unit works. Has many great features and ones that you will actually use. I am at the office or I would post some pics.
