Gutted stock exhaust

Gutted stock exhaust
I know this was covered a while back. But the people in those posts (contact people) are unreachable.
I know taking everything out of the exhaust can is not right. It would probably create a drone.
Any suggestions as to the re-route of the pipe in the muffler? There was a guy that would do them for 3 to 400 bucks but with shipping it was just not worth it. I have a great exhaust shop here that will do the work. They were asking if I could proide any more detail before we re-invent the wheel so to speak.
What are your thoughts?

I had it done. I didn't think it sounded much different than stock. Every once in a while at certain rpm's and speeds, you could hear it. For the most part, I couldn't tell the diff. It was supposed to duplicate the PSE sound. I parked mine and PSE next to each other. The PSE was louder and had a completely different tone. Mine was supposed to mimic the PSE internals. My purchase was "satisfaction guaranteed" and my supplier took it back. He was very cool about it. My suggestion would be to hear the cans first, and if you can't do that then make sure you can return them if you don't like it.

I went with Fabspeed exhaust.
They look great, sound AWESOME, weigh less and you retain your factory exhaust without mods incase you sell the car later to someone who wants ALL STOCK.
Just my $.02

Tim;
I have a set of factory exhaust taken out at about 18K miles when I swap them out for GHL's. They're just sitting in my garage taking up space.
I'll never go back to stock
You're welcome to them if you need a set to experiment with.

Thanks!
I actually have a pair from my 99 C2. They look the same as the 02 C4S but not 100% sure without removing the exhaust for a side by side look.
Anyone know for sure?

The mufflers are the same externally. There may be some slight internal differences, I don't know, to account for the improved sound of the '02 vs '99-01.
