so with the 997 coming..
first of all, will they start deliveries as soon as September?
the dealer over here claimed so, i didn't wish to argue so i just left it at that..
another thing, with the 997 carrera and carrera S models in the near future, any word on what will happen with the current C4S ?
i mean will there be a similar "idea" of a porsche with the 997, or is it too early to judge?
and if yes, there WILL be a 997 C4(S?) .. logically it will have to wait until the new turbo is launched, so it won't be available for the next 3 yrs, no ?

Expect 'factory' cars to trickle in sometime in Sept/Oct. These will be pre-spec'd cars with various common options and in conservative, easy-sell colors (black, arctic, etc). Customer ordered cars will probably begin rolling in sometime later, maybe November.
C4S Cabs and Turbo Cabs are still on for '05 as 996 frames. No word yet on widebody 997 models.
Speculation speaks of a 997TT, but I wonder. Some rumors circulated some time ago about the 997 simply being a band-aid of sorts, to get Porsche through the next 3 years or so, before the 998 begins production. At which time they may roll out various models around an entirely new design.
Rest assured, Porsche will continue to act secretively, in order to sell out what production they have now. Buy what you want.
I bought a C4S Cab this spring, and couldn't be happier - especially since 1) I don't care for the looks of the 997, and 2) I don't want a first-model year car again.
