Best Exhaust for a 2000 996???????
Hey gang
I am looking into getting some new mods for my car and I really would like a good sounding exhaust for the 3.4L 996....I really don't want anything to loud because it is my daily driver and I need it to go on long trips back and forth to school...I was looking around at Tubi, AWE, Fabspeed, etc....any ideas for me??

I have GHL normal (not loud ones) on my MY99. I like them. Driving around under normal conditions (short shifting, non spirited driving) they are very mellow. Hit the throttle and from 3500 on up the growl comes on.

jubilee titanium and tubi.are the best of the best. fullstop.
comming back down to normal person's price levels, fabspeed, agency power are all a quality system as is A.W.E. Choice to be made based on personal sound preference and weight savings if one wants to consider it.

I personally like the sounds of the Fabspeed bypass pipes, but I assume that would be entirely too loud for you if you aren't into that sort of thing. From what I hear tubi makes very nice systems but you will pay a pretty penny. I have had GHL systems before on two of my other vehicles and they tend to be rather raspy and loud, which again may not be your particular style. I can't speak for much else, but I just figured I would contribute my .02! Good Hunting, and congrads on the P-car

I cannot find any markings on mine, I will take some pictures of it and hope it can be identified by someone. It is loud. Very loud.

I was surprised by the GHL ones on mine. I heard on youtube some very loud GHL ones. The ones that came with mine have no drone in cabin at all. People that have stood outside while pulling away say it is very impressive without being obnoxious. I think they were $900 (from what the prev owner states)

The Agency Power mufflers sound great- Very mellow on idle and cruise I would say 2x louder than stock.
It is not loud unless you hit WOT and rip the RPMs. It will take about 1k miles to "burn them in", the tone is very nice and not raspy. And they are very light. I recommend. Only thing is they may make your tips stick out further by 1", as was the case with mine.
