Thumbs up check out this custom box for 996

It is two 10" made with extremely high quality of fiber glass and perfect fitments. It is very strong and won't break at all. Even if you hammer it hard. It will be continued with carbon fiber layers.

i tried something like that, except i formed the top to allow the seat to set on it, and eliminated the mid section of the seat, raising the seat up about 4-5 inches, in the end i thought it was more concealed if it was in the foot well....


those do look good tho, did you do them yourself or have a shop do it?

Why are they so big that they overlap the seatbacks and side panel and rear speakers ??? How do you fold down your seats now??? It looks like you are putting a lot of effort into them which i applaud, but there are better ways to do it.

Nice - looking forward to the finished result- what is the interior volume of the box without speaker loaded?

I see that your seat backs do fold down somewhat eh? (as indicated by the dust marks on the face of the seat backs).

Only thing I might have considered differently is doing a slope-down instead of a hard corner along the side speakers. Just looks a bit odd cutting the speaker off like that.

Nice.

Interior bracing from top to bottom will better control the box resonance also. How are you going to protect the speaker if something falls on top? Expanded metal?

I'm thinking about doing something like this but am wanting to maintain as much of a stock appearance as possible. Where are the other possible mounting locations for say just one 10 or 12 inch? (Besides trunk and rear compartments.)
