Major Engine Leak

Dealer has the car in for service on a check engine light that has been on for a few weeks now. I have not noticed any leaking fluids, but they said it came back as a major engine leak, and that they need to replace the carbon fuel canister along with valve housing. Since I'm not any kind of mechanic or expert in such things I'm wondering if anyone on here has seen this problem and knows what else I might need to be on the lookout for as a result of this.

Thanks, M

I never heard of a code poping up for leaking fluid. Hope it's under warrenty. If not investigate the matter. Get a second opinion from a different shop/dealer.

+1, especially when we know there is the POTENTIAL!! Carbon cannister can throw a cel, not serious. Oil leak must have been coincidence, (I hope)

Get a second opinion but don't go cruising until you kill it.
