Hint: There are Porsches that might as well have been salvaged, which are fixed by the insurance company... everyday.
If you crash your car and go get it fixed, here's what you "could" do instead of getting back your car which was in an accident (many owners do this, because they dont want to drive a their car after it was in any type of accident) They play hardball with the insurance company, telling them that their car had better be fixed and painted ABSOLUTELY BRAND SPANKING NEW. If you go into a 5 minute rant on the insurance company, and take it to a shop that you are slightly familiar with... they will probably end up "totalling" the car so they dont have to deal with you. Much easier to pay you off, then sell your car at an auction and get some money for it. Now... do you know how easy it is for a shop to say that the frame is bent, when it really isnt? Just to make everybody happy??? Insurance company wins ('cause they dont have to listen to your complaining ***), shop wins (because they make a little for the diagnosis... and maybe they can buy the car back to fix it, because they know it's not that bad), and you win, because you get to go buy another car which was never in an accident.
I see cars all the time which I think should be totaled, get fixed and look absolutely perfect. And I mean PERFECT.

I have 2 friends who have BIG shops... you should see that brand spanking new cars that come into their shops for small repairs, and while they are there for the fix, my buddies point out how well the brand new cars are made. Rust inside of an '08's car door (we live in So Cal. home of no rust) where the heck did that rust come from?
Fixes on cars done at the docks where they are imported are done ALL THE TIME. 20 min. away from me is Port Hueneme... where all the BMW's come, Jaguars, Hondas, Toyotas etc.... by the thousands. They have rooms of parts which are damaged in shipping. Hundreds upon hundreds of bumpers thrown away.... dint fixed EVERY SINGLE day. The dealers dont even know what kind of damage this new car has had, which just got delivered to them from the "factory".
Point I'm trying to make, is that there are quite a few cars to which a "salvaged title" isn't necessarily mean the cars a pile of trash. And there are MANY, MANY cars on the road which dont have the salvaged title, but have had lots of damage. They might have even been repaired worse than the salvaged car. ;o)

not to many people are willing to buy highly modded car like this one... especially with the current title. This car will usually sell to a buyer that want this mod specifically with a salvage title... thats a tough sell.

But as you should know. Many Porsche enthusiasts believe the 993 was the last True Porsche ever made. It will always hold good value and may now only go up in value. I believe the 996 is probably one of the least sought after 911's ever made. But I love mine haha
