Fuel filter

Hi again ya'll,
Does my 'early' 1999 Carrera have a fuel filter? If so where is it located?
Thanks,

under the car, remove the black middle panels... you will see it at the center of the car.

On my 2000 C4 the fuel filter is next to the coolant recovery tank.

Its under the car. I changed it on my 99. You have to remove all the plastics underneath. It will be in the center of the car. You will get gas all over you. You will have to put the ignition on and off untill the filter is full again once you change it. Or turn the motor untill it fills up and starts.

Thanks for the 'heads-up'. Can't I just take the fuel pump fuse out, run the engine until it's out of fluid and I won't get "gas all over me"???
Just a question,
