I lost one a couple months ago, activating it at about 40 mph. I stopped and picked up the piece. I then had someone activate the system so that I could grab the nozzle. Removed the nozzle, glued the cover back on, and then reinstalled it. Fit and everything is fine. The cover does rotate on the nozzle, so you have glue it in such a way as to still allow it to move, if possible, for the best fit (flush) with the headlight. I didn't have a problem accomplishing this.

I replaced the entire nozzle with cap for 36.00, took about 10 seconds.

does the nozzle piece slip off or has some sort of clip system? or how to remove without damage?

Ordered nozzle with cover from Porsche 72$ and I can use my pca card when it comes in.

Had this happen on my car as well. Porsche shoiuld design some sort of a speed-sensitive lock-out on the headlight washer to prevent this from happening.

i'v been playing with the passenger side one and i can blow it off with just my air compressor lol the problem seems to be the the 2 pins holding the cap. they weaken significantly over time especially mine are just a joke. Ordered a complete set of nozzles from porsche.

new chrome washer

so .. i've got the new chrome washer thingy... I can't seem to figure out how to get the old one to slide out (its missing the cap).

i'd prefer to replace the whole unit - it looks like it should be a slip lock -- but when i pull on it .. it doesn't want to budge.

thoughts?

Panter, grab a hold of it with some needle nose pliers and pull it up. There will be resistance.

Went about 15 mph, accidently activated it, and it blew off.
Pulled over to retrieve, and my luck an other car just nibbed it.

Found one new on ebay $18 shipped and one used at german auto parts $25 shipped, have spares but will use sparingly
