That was probably a rough 6 days. Glad to hear it worked out

Lockheed911 is infamous around these parts
They haven't given me any specifics on what damage was done to the motor due to the IMS failure. I will find out more on Thursday when the motor comes in. I was a bit worried because my dealer told me that Porsche needed more information about car before they decided if they were going to replace the motor or not. Let me tell you......I was ready if they decided not to replace the motor. I was going to be the "squeakiest" wheel they have seen. Thankfully it did not come to that and I did not have to remind them that this is a 6 figure car and because of that, I expect exemplary service as well as a motor that is perfect after a failure such as this. Thank you again for the words of encouragement as this has been a very trying time to see my beautiful car in such pain.

Just got the car back today. New motor, just as amazing as before. And I had them throw that little sport exhaust button on there. Now when I accelerate I have this look on my face!

lockheed911 - mine succumbered to the same problem on June 5th, just before i was to leave the next morning to watch the F1 practice session in Montreal.

it was flat bedded to the dealer and the new engine arrived last week. i am also getting a new clutch for material costs only.

i got a Cayenne GTS with the manual tranny as a loaner and liked it so much i swapped my Turbo for it!
