The seats look different on the bottoms and I do not think this is doable.

So after I recover from operation I will give it a try. The center section of the back of the seats pulls out. I was thing of swapping with the supple ones so it matches the back seats.

I have been reading that the sport seats track has less travel. Is this true? I see a stop on the back and looks like it stops about 2in from the bolt.
Where did you find the sport seats in savannah? If you don't mind me asking what did they set you back? I would love to do this as well.

luke, if you're looking for improvements ont he track, i'd passon the sport seats and get fixed seats.

it's more for vanity than anything else. it does look much better than the standard seats.

Erubin

I have been searching everyware. Missed a pair about a year ago on ebay. But there was a porsche swapmeet in Morristown NJ. So I went for the heck of it. As luck would have it someone was selling a set from a 03. They are flawless. I found out later the car had 2 or 3k when pulled. They are cleaner than the set in my car!! It was the end of the day and they had no action. They wanted 1900 and I got them for 1500.

fixed seats are more trouble than they are worth for a street car ... I would only consider them for a dedicated track (read not street driven) car ...

I picked up a set for about the same price out of a 996 GT3. If you search around the classifieds here and the other Porsche forums they come up from time to time. I had them in my last 996 and they where fantastic. They do hold you in better than the standard seats.

I'm planning on installing my Sport seats this week. Can't wait.

I have seen Balck sets around but not Savannah. This color seems to be much harder to come by.

I would be interested in your drivers seat as mine is showing more and more wear it seems. But local would be the only way, sucks.
