it was a good day to buy an 01 c4

just picked this up...
black on black... can tell she was well cared for.

I am not convinced about the wheels... I'm not a fan of chrome unless the car is at least 40 years old.
i am thinking maybe refinish them

I think they are HREs.. .anyone know? are they worth millions?

I'm also iffy about the wing. it's a nice wing, but i do like the stock look.
what you all think? know what kind it is? maybe take some better pictures tomorrow.

refinish the wheel, drop the car with (springs or) coilovers...congrats and enjoy.

If you're undecided on the wing, do the first 2 mods above first then maybe by that time you'd be more sure.

congrats on your new pcar, thanks for sharing!
You MUST at very least powdercoat the wheel centers satin black. Just too much bling going on there, detracts from the car IMO.
Coilovers + drop would be a nice 1st upgrade. Lose the orange side markers .

Have any more pics of the rear / wing?

Man, they look a lot like my Asanti wheels. They are very good quality, but I agree with the finish being a little too much. I called Asanti and they will refinish them in any color combination you can dream of. The problem being that they wont quote a price. I wanted to do all black with a red ring.

If they are Asanti, each bolt on the ring is engraved.. Check that, they are not cheap and you may be able to sell them for a pretty penny.

Definitely lose the chrome and go with black/silver lip suggestion. here's a comp of how your car would look that way..

DCentric. Awesome, I appreciate it. I bet Uber does too. I have limited Photoshop skills, but I'm gonna play with your rendering to see what other colors combinations look like

Nevermind. I chopped it up beyond recognition already. If it is extremely easy for a pro, could someone make a red ring around the black wheels?

just back from a spirited drive through the local canyons.

going from a 99 C2 to this C4... the handling difference really is night and day... I had heard so many people say so, but I figured it was exagerated.
amazing difference.

I still have some clear side markers in the garage... from the last car, so that will be the first mod....will pop those on if it cools off this afternoon (90degrees... socal FTW)

I like the idea of the polished lip... and the red lip... oh yeah... with red calipers that could be nice... thinking like a flat grey color for the centers.
but that will probably be at least a few weeks.
First I really want to put in a new head unit. newport996's install (from his previous car) looks nice and like the features it has. think a kenwood. that will be first.

I would keep the spoiler...do a brushed finish on the centers of the wheels and definitely lower it on some coilovers.

Good luck! And have FUN!!
