Busted tranny mount on my tiptronic

Was noticing a thump recently on hard accelleration through 1-2 shift, took it in to have it looked at. Sure enough, broken tranny mount. $720 to fix. 35k on my odometer. Good times...

Thanks Ben- My cats are bad as well. Fortunately those are being replaced under factory warranty.
On the bright side, at least I know I am adequately driving the car hard enough... lol

Geez...$740 for transmission mounts? Are they more difficult to replace than engine mounts? Coz' I've heard engine mounts are pretty simple DIY.

Well, at least you're good to go for now!

yeah the big fat tranny mount for the tiptronic seems a bit buried. I'd need a lift to really do the job. Damn I can't wait to get back into a house with a garage. You know the first thing I am buying is a lift!!
I'm sure I got burned a bit on labor ($440), but the indy shops I went to first couldn't get me in for a week to two weeks. The dealer got me in / out quick and service was actually pretty good.

In all the issue posts I've read over the past year or so on various forums, I think this is the first and only time I've heard of this particular problem. Lucky me eh? lol
