I think BG has serious problem though... the post count, new monthly avatar, new wheels, pink calipers with matching hello kitty seatbelts, matching driving shoes and outfits, advices on heel and toeing... OK I really shouldnt talk, Im kinda bad myself.

That's pretty lame......One's chance of a raise should not be judged by one's personal property....If that is the case and you want a raise, drive into work on a bicycle. Your raise will be HUGE!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds to me like the company you work for are just a bunch of haters or you're merely a representation of paranoia. Don't limit your fullfillment of being a p-car owner because of this theory. Either get over it or change companies if that is truly the case.

^^^he has a good point. plus, it's a 996. not a cgt. not to knock the 996, i have one. but they have new camrys that cost as much a some 996's. so, what's to hate? i understand it's merely the idea of a pcar they may be jealous of, but like SoCal mentioned, maybe think about a new company where the other coworkers aren't so petty about what your achieved and instead, are happy for you. =)

I have never checked out the 6 at work. So far I have not told anybody at work I have a 996 for fear of how they will talk ****e about me. There is a guy at work that drives a late model Benz and they give him the business all the time.

screw the bigwigs. drive the 996 to work and park right up front next to the overpriced executive Prius and BMW 5-series cars. Raises should be judged on work merit and performance alone, if your company is any sort of organized they have a standard performance review template and formula to calculate employee raises.
If someone's dislike of your car causes you get a lower raise than your review dictates.. well there could be grounds for a discrimination lawsuit.
There will always be haters at work, mostly those who do not know how to (or are afraid to) live life to it's fullest. drive it and represent those who do!
