p1125 error code

Hello all,

I know nost people said they have no problems after installing their plenums; however I'm not one of those lucky people. Shortly after the install my CEL came on. My durametric tool came up with 2 codes: P1125 and one other (I forgot what it was).
Regardless, I've ignored it until now, but my gas mileage has started to suffer quite a bit (not to mention I just couldn't fall asleep last night, so crawling out to my car with my laptop at 2:30am seemed like fun), so I did some research. Apparently, the p1125 code may be related to the car running too rich.
If this is true, how can I fix this? Would a simple battery-disconnecting do the trick, or if there something more?

If I'm wrong about the code, someone please correct me..... and then advise me as to what to do

Thanks in advance!
John

if you have the durametric software... that will clear your codes WITHOUT having to disconnect the battery....

Do a reset. The ECU will then adjust to the increase in air mass.

Yeah, I tried resetting the codes with the durametric software, and the light comes right back on. I tried a battery disconnect reset this weekend and the light came on after 11 miles. I'm assuming at this point that my fix won't be as simple as I was hoping.

I checked for leaks in my intake system and I couldn't find any..... sooooooo at this point am I to assume that there is some sort of problem with my fuel system (as listed by wross996tt) ? I haven't noticed any noticable loss of power, but are there any other signs I should be watching for?

Thanks again everyone,
John

i just noticed you have a K&N... take it out...replace the MAF... and your problems will be over...

i went through 3 MAFs with the K&N...

also... make sure you didnt bottom out your screws with the plenum. you might have a gap which will then allow unmetered air to come in on the sides of the plenum/ TB interface... which would give you a lean reading on the O2's...
