A few questions regarding RO polishing and waxing

I know there are a few experts here, so I have a few practical questions before my first random orbital polish and wax.

1. Any easy way to work around the sunroof? Do you polish over the seam and then try to clean the fabric or avoid the fabric at all costs?
2. The same goes for those rubber joints in the roof panel.
3. I have a clear bra. How do you handle this? Wax only?

Thanks from a rookie in Minnesota.

WARDHOG is infamous around these parts
I use that blue painters tape and mask off the areas that you don't wax. I tape over seams on the sun roof and also where the my clear bra edges meet the paint so wax won't collect there. Also might want to watch the clear bra edges when using clay bar but you don't have to tape off prior to claying.

Also....if you go to the detailing section of these forums....both here and other Porsche forums, there are volumes of info available on techniques and products.

I just got started by buying the Flex group buy and products from Phil from DetailersDomain.

Phil was great in suggesting the products and giving tips.

The flex is expensive but works great. I was working on the wifes Excursion this weekend and it is cleaning up great!

Go to the Autopia website and they even have video clips that show you the polishing techniques...watching the video is a great way to get the hang of it quickly. Reading about technique and tricks of the trade is informative, but actually seeing it is much more enlightening.
